Aysha Cunningham '25

Aysha is a fourth-year Dance & Physiological Science major from Pleasanton, CA. Aysha began ballet at the age of 4 and has notably received the highest score of Distinction in intermediate and advanced Royal Academy of Dance exams (UK). She has performed lead roles in various classical ballets, trained at Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco, danced professionally with Ballet Roots in Pleasanton, and co-choreographed an award-winning dance film. She continues to train in ballet, as well as contemporary floorwork, release technique, and kung fu through the UCLA World Arts and Cultures/Dance department. Outside of UCLABC, Aysha trains and competes in martial arts! Aysha is looking forward to bringing in professional guest teachers and furthering Ballet Company at UCLA's mission to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion in ballet. Her favorite memory was choreographing "Midnight Strikes" for UCLABC's Spring 2024 show, Cinderella Reimagined.
