Lakshmi is a second-year Physiological Science major from Pleasanton, CA. She started ballet at 3 years old at Ballet Petit and later trained at Valley Dance Theater. She performed in the Nutcracker every year, dancing many roles including Clara, Snow Queen, and Waltz Queen. Lakshmi also performed in other ballets such as Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake. In addition to ballet, she has also learned Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam at Nritanjali Dance Academy, since the age of 5. She is looking forwards to choreographing the Fight Scene for UCLABC's Nutcracker and hopefully a piece for the spring show, as well.
