Ying Xuan is a first-year Economics and Psychology major from sunny Singapore! She started learning ballet at the age of three and has never stopped dancing since. She hopes to inculcate a deeper appreciation for ballet in the UCLA community, and create a safe space for ballet dancers of all experiences to dance together. She has completed both the Advanced 1 Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Vocational examination and the Elementary Comdance (previously CSTD) Major Classical examination. Over the years, she has also performed at various dance showcases and concerts with her ballet studio and high school dance company. While she has since explored other dance styles such as contemporary and urban, ballet remains her first love.
